The Pen as a Portal: A Pop-Up Writing Invitation!
For many of us, the act of putting pen to paper has become a purely functional task—grocery lists, signatures, or quick notes. But when was the last time you picked up a pen and wrote honestly, messily, or creatively, without the internal critic whispering over your shoulder? When was the last time someone read out loud to you, and you listened not just with your ears, but with your heart?
At Coriander Living Collective, we believe that expression is a vital part of regulation. On Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 from 6-7:30pm, I am thrilled to host a special Pop-Up session of our INNER WELL, OUTER WORD writing.
Why Writing?
“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use the more you have.” — Maya Angelou
Writing is a way to resource yourself. In our sessions, we aren’t concerned with grammar, "good" prose, or publication. We use directed prompts and experiential exercises to tap into the parts of our experience that often go unheard.
Whether you are navigating stress, grief, chronic illness, or simply a sense of "stuckness," the act of spontaneous writing can help shift your internal landscape.
As Anne Frank so beautifully put it: “I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.”
What to Expect
No "writing experience" is necessary. In fact, we love "non-writers." You can expect:
A Safe Container: A small, supportive group of adults (18+) focused on connection, not judgment.
Heart-Centered Listening: We write to be seen and listen to know one another.
A "Taster" Experience: This pop-up is the perfect way to try the "Inner Well, Outer Word" method if you aren't ready to commit to a multi-week series.
