In-Person SELF-BRAINSPOTTING Workshop Next Week!
Brainspotting (BSP) is a powerful and effective relational neurobiological therapy. BSP uses where you look to access stored material in your subcortical brain, metabolizing, and moving you towards regulation. BSP helps with sleep issues, depression, anxiety, irritability, negative self-beliefs, interpersonal issues, trauma, stress, and pain.
While most BSP therapy interventions require the presence of an attuned BSP therapist, you can also learn how to practice self-brainspotting.
Self-Brainspotting is one of my favorite ways to self-regulate or shift my physical, emotional, or cognitive state. For example, I’ll self-spot if I have a headache, feel emotions like irritation, stress, or worry, or my mind is stuck on a certain disruptive thought. While practicing self-spotting, I’ll notice somatic releasing like yawning, rapid eye blinking, or unwinding as my nervous system processes and regulates. In only 10-15 minutes, there will often be a noticeable adaptive shift so that I can move through my day with more ease.
Come learn through demonstration and practice how to do self-brainspotting on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023, pre-registration is required. This has been a popular class in the past, sign up sooner rather than later to reserve your spot!
Instructor: Cori Hildebrandt, MA, LPC WI, LPCC MN, Psychotherapist, Owner of Coriander Living Collective is a Certified Brainspotting therapist.
