Welcoming Kelly Curtis to Coriander Living Collective!

I am excited to welcome Clinical Mental Health Practicum Student, Kelly Curtis to Coriander Living Collective! By welcoming Kelly to the team, we are expanding our ability to serve therapy clients across both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Our Story

Kelly and I first met in 2014 at EP Rock Elementary School in Hudson, Wisconsin. I was offering co-located mental health therapy while she was working as a school counselor. I was drawn right away to her kindness, knowledge, and ability to juggle a million things at once with ease! I feel so grateful to collaborate with her again.

Exceptional Experience & Background

Kelly brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for helping others. Her impressive background includes:

  • Education: A BA in Journalism and Spanish from UW-Madison, a Master’s in Guidance and Counseling from UW-Stout, and she will graduate with a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UW-Superior in May 2027.

  • Experience: Over 25 years as a school counselor, working closely with children (ages 4K–12), parents, and families. Provides social-emotional asynchronous coaching for emerging adults. Past work as a financial planner.

Kelly is looking forward to transitioning her robust experience into supporting individual clients ages 5+ in both Minnesota and Wisconsin along with couples and families.

Therapeutic Approach & Special Interests

Kelly uses a relational, solution-focused, and strengths-based approach, drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrative techniques. Always looking to expand her toolkit, she will take her Phase 1 Brainspotting training in June 2026.

Her primary areas of interest include supporting clients through:

  • Trauma processing

  • Parenting hurdles

  • Family dynamics and transitions

"I help clients uncover their inner problem-solver and build the confidence to face the challenges they’ve been avoiding. Sometimes, we just need someone who sees our potential, fans the flame of our growth, and reminds us of our own resilience. I look forward to walking alongside you on this journey." — Kelly Curtis
