Meeting Your Nervous System: Which of the 7 Faces of Anxiety Are You Wearing?

In his groundbreaking book The Chemistry of Calm, holistic psychiatrist Dr. Henry Emmons explores this beautifully by introducing The Seven Faces of Anxiety. He breaks down how anxiety flows through our biology, categorizing it not just by how we think, but how our body and brain react.

By understanding how your specific anxiety shows up, you can stop fighting your body and start working with it to restore resilience. Let’s unmask these seven faces and explore how to guide your nervous system back home.

Brainspotting - Process Your Trauma Without Talking About It

What is Brainspotting? Brainspotting is a somatic (body-based) psychotherapy that uses our visual field to locate "spots" where we hold trauma, emotional distress, or physical activation. Because our eyes are deeply connected to the midbrain, this process allows us to bypass the analytical, talking brain and access the deeper areas where traumatic memories are actually stored.

During a session, focusing on a specific brainspot can be an intense experience as the brain and body process the memory. However, clients generally experience a profound sense of relief and release afterward—essentially "clearing" the trauma from the nervous system. And progress can be made after even a single session.

Summer in Motion: Step Outside with Open Floor Movement

Summer in Motion: Step Outside with Open Floor Movement

There is something transformative about the St. Croix River Valley in the summer. The air is thick with the scent of flowers and prairie grass, the sun lingers late into the evening, and our bodies naturally yearn to shed the layers of winter and move.

At Coriander Living Collective, we believe that a life well lived requires us to be intentional about our connection to ourselves, others, and the world around us. This summer 2026, we are taking that mission literally—by taking our practice outside on the 3rd Tuesday evenings of each month.

The Landscape of Loss: Understanding the Multi-Dimensional Impact of Grief

At Coriander Living Collective, we believe that healing from grief isn't about "moving on," but about integrating the loss into a life well-lived. Whether it’s through Brainspotting (to process the deep-seated loss), Open Floor Movement (to let the body speak when words fail), or Bibliotherapy, we are here to help you navigate these seven dimensions.

Do You Understand Your Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits? Could You Be Limiting Your Access to Speciality Medical Providers?

At Coriander Living Collective (CLC) we are a private pay for services (self-pay) business accepting credit, debit, HSA, or FLEX funds. We believe as a client this offers you the highest level of care and affords you certain advantages over using health insurance or a third party payer. This does not automatically mean you will need to 100% pay for therapy sessions fully out-of-your pocket. IF you have an out-of-network benefit on your insurance plan, CLC can schedule for you to receive a monthly superbill. The superbill includes all the information that your insurance company would require to process an out-of-network claim, to reimburse you how your plan allows.
