Whether you are a seasoned mover or someone who doesn't dance, your bones are welcome here. Come as you are—stiff, fluid, tired, or energized. There is a place for all of it on the Open Floor.

Summer in Motion: Step Outside with Open Floor Movement
There is something transformative about the St. Croix River Valley in the summer. The air is thick with the scent of flowers and prairie grass, the sun lingers late into the evening, and our bodies naturally yearn to shed the layers of winter and move.
At Coriander Living Collective, we believe that a life well lived requires us to be intentional about our connection to ourselves, others, and the world around us. This summer 2026, we are taking that mission literally—by taking our practice outside on the 3rd Tuesday evenings of each month.
Art in Motion: Reclaiming Your Creativity on the Dance Floor
Art in Motion (AIM) is a specialized program within the Open Floor movement curriculum. While "Open Floor" is a conscious dance practice that uses movement to explore what it means to be human, AIM takes it a step further. It blends our movement resources with writing, theatre, and visual arts.

Release Stress and Claim Joy!
Stress is a common occurrence for many of us! The problem with stress is when it is chronic, overwhelming, or when we don’t have good stress management tools.
The mindfulness, resource-based movement practice of Open Floor International is one of the best ways, I know to release stress and allow the body to self-regulate.

I am finding limited words to express how deeply grateful and changed I am by Open Floor and those involved in the process of me becoming an Open Floor Teacher. It’s been a collective and global effort to cross this threshold. I am honored to join the lineage of those who have come before. I am blessed and proud to be a part of Open Floor International.
Doorways to the Soul
Talking about soul and spirit touches on some of the great existential questions of life! A wonderful place to explore and investigate what soul and spirit mean to you is through your body with movement, on a dance floor! The Core Movement Resource of Dissolve
An embodied sense of dissolve allows us to move through life with ease. Without dissolve we remain stuck, reluctant, holding onto the past, or unable to connect with our soul and spirit.

The Holiday PAUSE: Joy, Cheer, Stress, Grief, and Loneliness
The holidays can get busy, running from events to stores to school concerts, they can bring cheer and joy, and they can bring stress, grief, and loneliness.
One of the best ways that I have found to handle big emotions is the resource-based conscious movement practice of Open Floor International. It provides connection, support, and allows your body to regulate. PAUSE is one of Open Floor International’s core movement resources.
HUNGER FOR SPIRIT
Our hunger for SPIRIT is the “holy longing” we feel to connect beyond what we can see, to be held, and guided as we move through life. To seek “refuge” in the great mystery. We work on dissolving our identities and the labels we carry to sense our pure essence.
The Embodied Soul!
The gift of an embodied soul is connecting to something beyond ourselves, to sense deep meaning in life, and to be with all that is around and in us (the natural world, others, and presence of self). Working with embodied soul allows us to:
-Tap into Lifeforce/Source/God energy
-Enliven
-Navigate via our internal compass as we make life choices
-Cultivate authenticity, creativity, and intuition
-Dance with mystery and uncertainty

The Therapeutic Power of Music
Most of us have been there, either at a concert, or listening to the radio in the car, and a song comes on that, WOW, feels like it was written for you, cuts to the core, moves you in some remarkable way. Music is powerful. Around the globe and for ions music has been part of human culture. We use music to celebrate, regulate, express, dance, and to be moved.
Research supports that music has many benefits. At Coriander Living Collective, we use biolateral and bilateral music while doing BRAINSPOTTING and EMDR. These special types of music enhance right-left brain communication, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system. It’s a great tool, I often teach clients about to regulate and calm their nervous systems outside of sessions as well.
The Neuroscience of Being Human and How Open Floor Practice Can Help!
Open Floor International practice allows us to learn how to be in our bodies and in relationships well. Open Floor International teaches principles that are core to being human. Open Floor International practice increases attunement with self and others, awareness, neural pathways, thought/emotion circuits, mindfulness, and empathy. It provides a safe container to work with our nervous systems and those of others. It encourages shifting out of our stress response system and into our social engagement system. It creates opportunity for challenge and comfort, both of which are needed for human growth.
